Rescue • Rehabilitation • Sanctuary

Care for the life in front of us.

Live and Let Live Farm’s Rescue and Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal rescue in Chichester, New Hampshire, founded by Teresa Paradis. We care for abused and unwanted animals, with a particular focus on horses and pregnant dogs and cats.

Every animal’s path is different. Some need a safe place for a little while before adoption. Others need a foster home, an extended stay, or time to recover and learn to trust. For those who need care for life, the farm provides lifelong sanctuary.

Its name grew from a phrase that stayed with founder Teresa Paradis: “live and let live.” Decades later, that idea continues to connect rescue, rehabilitation, and the people who make the work possible.

Volunteers contribute to animal care and the daily work of a farm. People can also help through giving, supplies, fostering, and sharing the farm’s stories.

A home of her own. A refuge for others.

Teresa grew up dreaming of a permanent home and a life rescuing animals. Live and Let Live Farm was founded in 1996 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 2002. That personal dream became a shared commitment.

The mission is rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary: helping animals find suitable homes and providing lifelong care when they need it. The vision behind the work is a place where care and belonging can grow—for animals and the people who show up for them.
